What are the Odds?
I picked up Ethan from my parent's house this afternoon, and when we returned home he wanted to watch one of his Thomas the Train DVDs. Dan turned on the DVD player, it made some strange noises, and the DVD never loaded. Bummer. Sounds like the DVD player is shot and will very likely need to be replaced due to a mechanical failure. So, Dan got a VeggieTales VHS tape out and stuck it in the VCR. Ethan watched that tape, but Dan was not satisfied with the picture quality (it had a little bit of fuzzies going on). We haven't cleaned the VCR heads in I don't know how long, so Dan inserted the cleaning tape. After "cleaning" the VCR heads, now the VCR has gone kaput. It will not play anything. So, what are the odds that both your DVD player and VHS player would fail on the same day? Looks like we'll have some electronics shopping to do in the near future... Meanwhile Ethan will be very disappointed that we cannot watch his new Thomas the Train DVDs :(

How about play it on the computer ?
Good point! Unfortunately our home computer is a desktop in the office, and there are lots of other tempting things that Ethan shouldn't get into in that room. :(
