Ethan's First Potty Success!

Ethan is a big talker when it comes to going on the potty. All talk and no action, that is! Until today. Ethan let me know that he needed to go poo poo before his nap this afternoon, so I quickly got him into our upstairs bathroom and onto his little potty. He is funny how he is particular about his privacy; He jumped up from the potty seat and closed the bathroom door (only Waggles was in the hallway ;), sat down on his potty, waited a moment, and then said "There!" with great enthusiasm. Sure enough, he had gone poo poo on his potty. I made a big deal out of his accomplishment, and he got to pull the lever on the "big toilet" to flush. He thought that was just the greatest. From talking with other moms, apparently it is unusual for the first potty success to be "poo poo" as opposed to "pee pee", so hopefully we'll get the most difficult part of potty training out of the way and are on the road to more potty successes in the near future! How nice it would be if Ethan were out of diapers before Baby Q arrives...
