I have been feeling tiny tinges that might be Baby Q moving around over the last week or two, but I was not completely certain until this afternoon when I felt like Baby Q demonstrated a good karate punch or kick against my belly. I had forgotten what that felt like from being pregnant with Ethan. It's amazing how much you forget in just 2 years!
We have our official "fetal survey" ultrasound scheduled for October 13th, and I am so excited to be assured that Baby Q is healthy and developing on track and also (of course) to find out gender. At our early ultrasound (11 wks), the ultrasound technician asked if we would like for her to make a wager on gender. We were really surprised and didn't realize that was even an option or could be seen that early. The tech has been doing ultrasounds for 16 years and said that she was pretty sure that she consistently saw "something" from different angles, so she said 80% chance it is a boy. However, she said to be sure to save our receipts if we purchase anything before our next ultrasound just in case. So, we'll find out on the 13th whether she was correct or not. I can't wait!
