Today we had a wonderful time catching up with "old" friends. Our friend Tiffany lives overseas now, and it is rare that we get the opportunity to see and catch up with her, so it was great to spend some time with her during this visit to the States. She and several other friends of our's who participated in a Bible study together for many years had a little reunion today at a local park. The weather was beautiful, all of the kids thoroughly enjoyed the huge playground, we picnicked, and the kids frolicked through the fields. Just kidding ;) I just wanted to the use the word "frolicked" because it struck me as funny. Can you tell that it's late as I'm writing this post, and I'm a bit slap-happy? In actuality, Tiffany's mom very thoughtfully provided Tiffany with beach balls and bubble toys to bring to the picnic for the kids. They had a blast creating bubbles, trying to catch them, and kicking/throwing the beach balls. Unfortunately, though I had a camera with me, I didn't remember to take any photos until just before we left.
Sara, Tiffany, and Ryan (the wind accentuated his spikey hairdo ;)

Ryan was getting a little fussy, so I tried to entertain him with the camera and took a few pics of him while he was in my lap. The resulting photos were hilarious.
The infamous furrowed brow look (he always furrows his brows when he sees the red-eye reduction light)

Fussy face. I'm going to be in trouble as he gets older. Who could tell this little guy "no" when he looks at you like this?

All tuckered out. We stopped at my parent's house after the picnic, and Ryan fell asleep on mom's lap (as did their dog Sasha).

What a fun Saturday!
