Ethan had a great time this morning at his preschool class Christmas program and party. The kids started out in the sanctuary for their program (songs and poems).
Ethan is in the second row, second from the left
They had cute little props to go along with the songs and poems in each of their bags (a Rudolph nose on a popsicle stick, a candy cane, jingle bells, and a Santa beard on a popsicle stick)Santa Claus is a jolly old elf,
He slides down the chimney in spite of himself.
Santa Claus is round and plump
He spreads joy, he's no grump.
When he laughs he Ho Ho Hos
And says "Merry Christmas" (wherever he goes)- This last part was cut off because Blogger limited the size of the video file that I could upload.
(Ethan's candy cane was broken, so he was a bit distracted during this poem)
I took a lick of my peppermint stick
And mmmmm it tasted yummy.
It looked so nice on my Christmas tree,
But I like it better in my tummy.
I have a friend named Candy Cane
We go dancing down Sugar Plum Lane
While we're doing the peppermint twist
We blow each other a peppermint kiss.
We Wish You a Merry Christmas (sounded more like it was in a round!)
After the program the kids had their Christmas party starting out with their snack which today consisted of sugar, sugar, and more sugar ;) They frosted upside-down ice cream cones with green icing and decorated their "Christmas tree" with M&Ms, mini chocolate chips, and sprinkles.
