Buckle Up and Following the Herd

I've shown Ethan once or twice how the buckles on his carseat go together, but I didn't anticipate that he would be able to fasten them by himself for quite awhile since they are sometimes difficult even for me to click together. He surprised me today by securing himself into his carseat entirely by himself. Woo hoo! It seems like something so small, but it is such a nice timesaver because now Ethan can climb into the van, get himself up into his seat, and do his buckles independently. Fortunately he cannot yet undo the buckles which is a good thing. I don't plan to show him exactly how that works for quite awhile.
On a completely unrelated note, I took a couple of pictures of Ethan's pretend play today. He got all of the animals out of each of our Little People play sets and lined them up to go down a tiny wooden slide. For some reason it just amused me today to see this herd of animals waiting their turn to go down the slide.
