Spectacular Diaper Deals at CVS!!

I went to CVS yesterday to use some Extra Care Bucks that would expire soon, and while I was there I noticed three packages of Huggies size 2 diapers that had been clearanced at 50% off. I had 3 $1.50/package coupons with me, so I bought the 3 packs for a really reasonable price. I thought that was a great deal, but it pales in comparison to today's *spectacular* deal. Ethan has had a pesky cough that has caused him difficulty sleeping during his naps and overnight the past 2 nights, so I took him in to the doctor today just to get checked out. The doctor thinks that he has a mild sinus infection and prescribed an antibiotic. So, we made another trip to CVS today to fill his prescription. I had a CVS coupon for a $25 gift card with any new or transferred prescription (and CVS price-matched Kroger and Wal-Mart's price of $4 for amoxicillin), so that was a great deal! I frequent this CVS and have kind of gotten to know several of the employees. While I was waiting to pick up Ethan's prescription, one particularly nice employee approached me and asked if Ethan were still in diapers and what his size was. She said that they were getting ready to clearance some diapers at 75% off and was offering me first dibs on what was available. I let her know that we have another baby on the way, so I'd love to see what she had in any size really. She brought out a value box of Huggies size 5 diapers (Ethan's size) along with 4 jumbo packages of Pampers size 1 Baby Dry (perfect for Baby Q!) I thanked her profusely and added the diapers to my cart. I was keeping Ethan occupied browsing the aisles while I still waited on the prescription, when a few minutes later the same employee found me and said that she had been talking with another employee, and she could actually offer me 90% off the diapers! How awesome!! That was so nice of her to offer an even deeper discount when she already knew that I was planning to purchase them at 75% off. Wow! So, I bought 336 diapers for $8.50, about 2.5 cents per diaper! If I had had my diaper coupons on hand (which sadly, I didn't because I hadn't anticipated buying any baby items today), I could have gotten all 336 diapers for $2.50. Can't look a gift horse in the mouth though. I also had $2 in ECB's that were expiring today along with that $25 CVS gift card for the prescription, so the transaction cost me nothing out of pocket. Yay!
All these diapers for $8.50! :)
