Trip to the Local Zoo
We went to our local zoo with some friends today- A big thank you to Dave and Megan for getting us in free with their membership!! Today was the first time that Ethan had been to the zoo in our city. He had a great time! He kept repeating "more more animals" and sometimes threw little tantrums as we left each animal enclosure until we reassured him that there would definitely be more animals to see. When we saw a peacock with its feathers fanned, Ethan said "peacock" over and over. I really enjoyed seeing the koalas, elephants, penguins, and giraffes. Ethan even got to feed a baby giraffe! For $1 you could get a piece of sweet potato to feed a giraffe. I thought that was a really neat opportunity, and Ethan loved it! We got to watch an elephant be bathed too. It was a really fun activity that completely wore Ethan out. He was asleep before we even exited the parking lot. Due to naptime constraints, we weren't able to explore the entire zoo, but we look forward to returning sometime again this summer!

You can actually pet the sharks in this giant tank- We didn't because we were afraid that Ethan would try to dive right in!
Another "family" at the zoo ;)
Ethan and Annie kept trying to help each other "escape" from their strollers by pushing on the buttons to release their trays! Fortunately their escape attempts, though fun, were unsuccessful :)
