Blood Test Results, Riding in my Big Boy Carseat, and my New Hat

A nurse from Ethan's doctor's office called today to let us know that Ethan's hemoglobin level is fine (10.7) and that his CK (creatine kinase) level is also within normal range. I requested that the pediatrician tack the CK test onto the order for bloodwork (since he already needed to have a CBC done) because an elevated CK reading is a reliable indicator of muscle disorders. Even though I had already tested negative for carrier status of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, I wanted to go ahead and have Ethan's CK level checked. So the CBC and CK results were both very good.

We switched Ethan from his infant carseat to his "big boy" convertible carseat a couple of weeks ago because he is getting so tall that he outgrew the length limit on his infant seat. He has absolutely loved riding in his new carseat (you can tell how much he likes it by how excited he looks when he is in it!!):

Grandma Gilbert bought Ethan a new adorable little hat. It's a fisherman-type hat that gives his head and ears good protection from the sun and also helps shield his eyes. I took a bunch of pictures of him wearing his new hat and couldn't decide what to post, so here is a slew of pics of him styling in his new hat:
