Who Knew Food Could be so Much Fun?

Since we ended up staying in for the evening due to icky weather conditions, we decided to let Ethan open a Christmas present early to play with. It was a set of plastic food along with dishes, silverware, condiments, a pot and pan, and a tiny stove. I thought that Ethan would enjoy playing with this set of food but did not anticipate how much of a hit it would be. Ethan played for over 3 hours straight with his food and made lots of "meals" for me and Dan. He loved to identify and cook all of the types of food. When we told him that it was bathtime and bedtime (which usually doesn't elicit complaining), Ethan became really upset. He was crying and saying "My food, my food!" He really did not want to stop playing with his food. During bathtime and while tucking him in, we had to repeatedly assure him that the food would still be downstairs inthe morning and that he could play with it all he wanted the next day.

Adorable, as I have come to expect :) What does he say after the fork? Some type of bowl? And how are you hanging in there?

Hi Sarah! He starts to say, "It's a little..." then says "It's a pepper!" The food that came with this set was interesting (not sure what country it was made in), but Dan and I had a hard time identifying what some of the items are. And the ones that we could identify were way not proportionally correct compared with each other. That doesn't bother Ethan though! :) I'm doing pretty well- we'll have to chat and catch up on the phone or Facebook soon!
