Counting Trains and Macaroni

This weekend Ethan began to count items on his own. He began by lining up a bunch of his Thomas trains in a row and proceeded to count them from one to five. It was so cute! He touched each one with his finger as he counted them. Later, we had macaroni and cheese for lunch, and Ethan started counting the pieces of macaroni in his bowl. He (enunciating fairly clearly) counted them from one to nine. It's fun to see how excited he was to be counting by himself!
