Visit to the Ophthalmologist (for Mommy this Time) and Fascination with Buttons

I had an appointment at the ophthalmologist today that was long overdue. My last visit had been 3 years ago almost to the day. Anyhow, I finally got around to making the appointment and Mom and Dad babysat Ethan for me. Fortunately I was informed that my right eye sees 20/15 and my left eye only has very minor nearsightedness. I consider myself incredibly blessed because the rest of my family has an array of eye issues: cataracts, astigmatism, trifocals, bifocals...

Ethan has recently developed a fascination with pressing buttons on remotes, phones, TVs, VCRs, fax machines, copiers, you name it! While he was at Mom and Dad's house, he discovered that the power button for their TV was within his reach and enjoyed turning the TV off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on (you get the point)! I am glad that our TV is still too high off the floor for him to reach, but I'm sure that soon enough he'll be punching all of the buttons at our house too!
